ROSS BLECKNER is a New York-based abstract painter. Over the course of his career, he has explored themes like the AIDS crisis, homosexuality, and loss in his work. Bleckner had a midcareer retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum in 1995 and his work has been featured in the Whitney Biennial three times. He is also a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations and a philanthropist.
